Electronics Test Technician

Position Summary We are seeking a high‑precision Electronic Test Technician to join our Mission Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for the final functional testing and component‑level troubleshooting of mission‑critical electronics, including avionics, radar suites, and high‑voltage power systems. You will ensure every unit leaving our facility meets the rigorous standards required for aerospace and national defense applications. Key Responsibilities Component‑Level Troubleshooting: Identify and repair hardware failures down to the discrete component level (ICs, MOSFETs, resistors, capacitors) using technical schematics and circuit theory. High‑Voltage Testing: Perform safe operational testing and calibration on high‑voltage power supplies and power distribution assemblies. Precision Measurement: Utilize a full suite of laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and digital multimeters to verify signal integrity. Environmental Stress Screening (ESS): Subject hardware to thermal, vibration, and vacuum testing to simulate flight and combat environments. Compliance & Standards: Execute all work in strict accordance with AS9100 quality systems and IPC‑A‑610 / J‑STD‑001 soldering standards. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of test results, failure logs, and rework actions to ensure 100% traceability for flight hardware. Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), military equivalent (e.g., Navy AT/ET, AF 2A), or 4+ years of relevant experience. Technical Expertise: Proven ability to read complex electrical schematics and blueprints. Safety Mastery: Deep understanding of high‑voltage safety protocols and ESD‑sensitive handling procedures. Physical Dexterity: Excellent fine motor skills for soldering and probing high‑density PCBAs. Communication: Ability to clearly document technical failures and collaborate with Electrical Engineering teams on root cause analysis. Preferred Skills Active Security Clearance.
