Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across an 8-bed LDRP unit and overflow postpartum department, including triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Circulate in the OR and recover patients in the PACU as part of unit responsibilities
• Monitor and care for newborns and sick babies in the nursery
• Maintain a 1:1 ratio during critical situations such as Category III fetal heart rate monitoring or active pushing, and participate in 2-nurse coverage at birth
• Manage 2–3 mother-baby couplets postpartum as assigned
• Float for sitter needs as required; will not be assigned to take independent sitter assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS certification
• AWHONN certification required
• LDRP experience encompassing labor, postpartum, gynecology, nursery, OR, and PACU
• Must wear Navy Blue scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery or LDRP setting
• Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients and complex fetal monitoring situations
