Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description Job Description Hours Monday - Thursday 5AM - 330PM We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or shipping experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders * Inspect incoming products for damage or shortages and report discrepancies * Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer specifications * Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment * Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas * Label, tag, and document incoming and outgoing materials accurately * Coordinate shipments with carriers including UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight companies * Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in company systems * Assist production personnel with material movement and staging * Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications * Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred * Forklift experience required or willingness to become certified * Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory paperwork * Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software is a plus * Strong organizational and communication skills * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on feet throughout the shift * Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required Preferred Skills * Experience working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment * Inventory control and cycle counting experience * Knowledge of freight scheduling and logistics coordination * RF scanner or ERP system experience Company Description Labor Solutions, LLC is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry throughout the Midwest area.
