Bus Driver

The school bus driver will transport children for school purposes in a safe and efficient manner. The performance responsibilities include obeying all traffic laws, transporting only authorized students, complying with safety regulations, ensuring bus cleanliness, maintaining discipline, informing students about safety requirements, reporting accidents, attending in-service meetings, and performing other job-related duties as assigned. A high school diploma or equivalency is preferred; not required. The driver must have an Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate with passenger endorsement, a Class B CDL Arizona Driver's License, and a Department of Transportation physical. The working environment includes exposure to vehicular traffic, bus fumes and odors, bus noise and vibration. The employment is for a nine-month year, with a Classified Hourly Salary Schedule, and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
