WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Budget Analyst, you will:

• Maintain complex databases, registers, and other accounting/tracking systems employed by the organization. Track obligations, expenditures and the flow of funds.
• Work with managers and program specialists in the development of annual work plans and schedules for the execution of approved budgets.
• Recommend reprogramming and adjustments to work plans to account for changes in funding levels, program changes, and legislative mandates.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following:

• Formulating, planning, and executing program and center wide budgets using financial systems to record, reconcile, and track budgetary and financial data in accordance with laws and regulations governing control of funds.
• Developing cost-benefit analysis of proposed budgetary and program actions and advises agency officials and program managers of most advantageous courses of action.
• Formulating budget estimates for multi-year programs.
