Job DescriptionJob Description About the Role: You’ll specialize in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations working on cathodic protection projects. This role requires experience as an operator in horizontal drilling. You’ll be traveling away from home for more than three weeks at a time, but generous per diem and lodging benefits are provided. Minimum Qualifications: Experience operating horizontal directional drilling equipment in a construction environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and drilling plans. Valid CDL license with acceptable driving record and good understanding of CDL driving rules and regulations. Qualifications: AMPP CP1 or other industry certification. Experience with cathodic protection installation and maintenance. Familiarity with environmental regulations related to underground drilling. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Previous experience working on large-scale pipeline or utility construction projects. Strong communication skills. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain HDD equipment to perform underground drilling tasks according to project specifications. Monitor drilling parameters and environmental conditions to detect and mitigate potential risks. Document drilling activities accurately. Follow all jobsite procedures, including safety and compliance requirements. Other Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or drive for long periods of time (1-3 hours). Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations. Must be comfortable working outdoors, including in extreme weather conditions. Must be comfortable around moving machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment. Must be comfortable wearing personal protective gear most of the day (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs). Compensation Range: $28.00 - $36.75 per hour The compensation range listed for this position represents ONEMESA's good-faith estimate of the pay range it reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible travel and field employees may also receive additional benefits and incentives, including per diem allowances, cell phone stipends, and single-occupancy hotel accommodations. Working hours are generally Monday - Saturday during the day. This position requires extensive and travel and for several weeks at a time (daily per diem and hotel lodging provided when traveling).
