LANGUAGES: Bilingual in English and another language is preferred. Job Summary The Healthcare Statistician is essential to advancing HOPE Clinic’s mission by leveraging data to inform decision‑making. Working closely with the COO, CFO, and the Grants and Programs team, the role analyzes data from the EHR and practice management systems, identifies service gaps, and uncovers improvement opportunities. The statistician also develops clear, compelling presentations for management and the board to support a thorough understanding of clinic performance. Major Duties & Responsibilities Compile, organize, and analyze healthcare data across multiple platforms to identify patterns, trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize data from various sources to support optimal healthcare management, administrative decision‑making, and patient outcomes. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and uniformity of clinical data across all reporting systems and processes. Apply appropriate data storage and sharing methods in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Stay current with healthcare data standards, regulations, and best practices. Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinic performance. Prepare and deliver presentations that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for management and the board. Communicate analytic findings to senior leadership, the COO, CFO, and the Grants and Programs team to align data analysis with organizational goals and strategic priorities. Support grant reporting by providing accurate and timely data analysis aligned with program requirements. Maintain HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality at all times. Ensure all patient and clinic information is protected and not shared with unauthorized parties. Support regulatory submissions by ensuring data is accurate, uniform, and submitted timely. Submit clinic forms and documentation promptly, including improvement activities, responses to memorandums, travel reconciliation, supply requests, leave requests, and monthly in‑service items. Attend on‑site and off‑site community engagement activities and clinic events as needed. Contribute to staff morale and a positive corporate culture. Ensure that all patients receive the best possible care. Perform other duties as assigned to comply with HRSA standards and support HOPE Clinic’s mission, vision, and values. Qualifications & Requirements Master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Public Health, Healthcare Analytics, Nursing, or a related field (Doctorate advanced). At least two (2) years of experience analyzing large data sets in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing clinical data using statistical methodology. Hands‑on experience with SQL and/or similar data query tools. Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and training of providers and clinical staff. Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operations and patient populations. Experience with training, implementation, and rollout of healthcare software applications. Knowledge of primary‑care clinic workflow or related healthcare experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws; adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Efficient time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. Ability to initiate and complete work without direct supervision. Capacity to work effectively under pressure and to respect cultural and linguistic diversity. Compliance with infection control procedures, including temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self‑monitoring, masking, and social distancing. Availability to travel as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and reporting. Other Skills & Abilities Bilingual in another language served by HOPE Clinic, in addition to English.
