Position Overview This role supervises employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity on the 2nd shift. Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The supervisor also ensures correct preparation of powder, supports continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, standardized work, and a computerized weigh‑out system. Shift Schedule 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday–Saturday (required overtime on Saturdays and as needed). Key Responsibilities Safety: line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings. Quality: high‑quality production, quality audits, clean environment; HACCP, verification of CCPs. Lot control, inventory accuracy, and reporting. Develop and operate within SOPs. Improve cost/production efficiency, maintenance, and strategic planning for production continuity. Sanitation and housekeeping. Employee relations issues. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry. A college degree is preferred. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Lead by example, professionally, morally, and ethically. Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail‑oriented. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge. Knowledge and experience with GMP and safety regulations. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications. Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish). Benefits and Salary Minimum compensation for the 2nd shift Production Supervisor is $29.37 per hour, with a $0.50 shift differential. Salary is determined by experience, education, skills, training, and internal equity. In addition to competitive compensation, full‑time employees qualify for extensive benefits programs.
