Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in the diagnosis and assessment of surgical conditions through analysis of imaging studies and lab findings
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to devise and implement patient-adapted surgical strategies
• Provide intraoperative assistance, such as preparing surgical environments, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during operations
• Furnish high-quality pre- and post-operative care, including medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a preference for surgical training

Necessary Certifications

• Unrestricted current PA-C certification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
