Plasma Center Paramedic - EMT-P

Job Description This Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, manage medical emergencies, and coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs. Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and guide donors on medical or technical issues. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluations with occupational health/ER per EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, including recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification (EMT‑Paramedic) and CPR and AED certification. Basic IV therapy licensure per state requirements. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 - $33.44. Sign‑on bonus: $2,500.
