Role Description:
- lead and support a strategic data modernization initiative.
- The role will focus on the migrating platform from Sybase to Microsoft SQL Server on Azure Cloud.
- The candidate should possess strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, database migration, and Azure-based data platforms.
- Should be willing to work 3-5 Days/week from Weehawken, NJ client office
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Database Engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Models).
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, optimization, and design.
- Strong knowledge of Sybase ASE and database migration methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale database and cloud migration projects.
- Experience designing enterprise data architectures for financial services or wealth management environments.
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data quality processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with business and technical teams in an onsite environment.
