Director of Finance & Strategic Planning Hybrid NY/ST

JCW is currently working on behalf of a boutique investment management firm that's seeking a Director of Finance to join their team. Reporting directly into the CFO, this role will have ample visibility and ownership of the finance strategy and budgeting process. This position will sit on-site in New York or Stamford with a hybrid on-site work model.

Role responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s annual budgeting and multi-year strategic planning process.
• Develop rolling forecasts and scenario models aligned with AUM growth, market performance, client acquisition, and advisor productivity.
• Oversee revenue forecasting driven by AUM, fee schedules, advisor performance, and market conditions.
• Prepare and present executive and board-level reporting packages.

Requirements

• At least 10 years' of Finance and Accounting experience in an investment manager
• Previous experience providing executive level reporting for private client/ultra high net worth wealth management firms
• Experience working in a collaborative and consensus-building, yet demanding environment;
• Familiarity with regulators and regulatory processes.
