Quality Technician - 1st ShiftEaton's CPS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician – 1st Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments.This position will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations.In this function you will:Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) partsDetermine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming PartsVerify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production linesPerform Control and Process audits as scheduledReport inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and WordCreate Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issuesInvestigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issuesContribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnelSupport Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machinesSupport Gage Calibration SystemComply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policiesQualifications:Required (Basic):High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institutionMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipRelocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred:Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematicsAssociate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degreeASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industrySix Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experienceStatistical Process ControlUnderstanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technologySkills:Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly. Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift. Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
