What you will bring to this role: Metrology experience including the ability to program PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks for CMMs and scanning equipment, this is a career you need to explore. Strong background with GD&T Duties and Responsibilities: Apply modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to aerospace manufacturing operations through use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. Interpret customer engineering requirements through use of customer drawings, specifications, and industry standards to ensure compliance. Operate and program CMM using PCDMIS software. Program and operate Creaform scanner using Polyworks software. Manage quality information databases for gage calibration. Manage outside service vendors/ suppliers for gage design, build, control, and calibration. Proven ability to develop and improve dimensional inspection of product. Interpret and apply GD&T principals to inspection of products. Create work instructions on use of inspection tools and inspection requirements for shop floor use. Prepare reports, procedures, and presentations for customer/supplier review. Initiate, recommend, investigate, trouble‑shoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to the products, process and quality system. Effectively establish positive working relationships with various groups, across all levels of the company, suppliers, and customers. Review proposed new products to ensure compliance with customer requirements and manufacturability standards through use of APQP process.
