Research Assistant I Lab

Job Summary Full-time Research Assistant (RA) wanted for an exciting, large-scale project in the laboratory of Professor Randy Buckner. Job-Specific Responsibilities Data acquisition using behavioral and neuroimaging techniques (MRI). Data entry, data checking, and quality control procedures. Subject recruitment and enrollment through community outreach and advertising. Serve as an interface among several collaborating lab groups. Maintain participant databases. Score and process data. Assist with administrative tasks. Basic Qualifications Background in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field and previous research experience is required. Additional Qualifications and Skills B.A. or B.S. preferred. Proficiency with basic computing packages such as MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with one or more of the following: Linux, MATLAB, SPM, FSL, fMRI. Strong interpersonal skills. High level of organization with careful attention to detail. Comfort with technical skills. High degree of motivation and self-sufficiency. Extensive training and supervision will be provided. Position Details Standard hours: 35 hours per week. Visa sponsorship: unavailable. Pre-employment screening: identity. Location: Cambridge, MA; fully on site. One-year term position with renewal dependent upon continuation of funding. Requires flexibility for occasional evening and/or weekend MRI scan slots. Salary and Benefits This position is salary grade level 052.
