Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating stand-up forklifts predominantly in the receiving and shipping areas of the facility. Candidates must have prior experience, as this position requires proficiency without training. The job entails moving materials and pallets to assembly lines, removing finished products for wrapping and shipping, loading and unloading trucks, scanning packages for shipping, and maintaining safe and efficient operations. While forklift operation is the primary duty, employees may occasionally be asked to assist with other tasks, such as breaking down boxes and cleaning assembly areas. A spirit of teamwork and cooperation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport materials and pallets to assembly lines.
• Remove finished products for wrapping and shipping.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Scan packages for shipping.
• Assist with breaking down boxes and cleaning assembly areas.

Essential Skills

• Stand-up forklift driving experience - 2+ years.
• Material handling expertise.
• RF scanner proficiency.

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, bright, and organized, featuring a brand-new building with state-of-the-art facilities, including a breakroom, lobby, and offices. The production floor is spacious, well-lit, clean, and temperature-controlled, providing a comfortable and enticing setting to work. Regular shifts are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime until 5 pm as needed. There is a 15-minute break every four hours. Saturday overtime is generally voluntary, but may be mandated during busy periods. Employees should be comfortable working overtime as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $36400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
