A pharmacist role is available at a 250-bed community hospital located in the Kansas City suburbs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both local candidates and travelers interested in short-term assignments. The role begins as soon as possible and extends for at least 13 weeks.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing pharmacokinetics, and consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care. The pharmacist will work using Meditech and Pyxis systems, supporting efficient medication management in the hospital setting.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Missouri pharmacist license
- Hospital pharmacy experience demonstrating proficiency in clinical and operational tasks
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis preferred
- Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
This contract assignment provides an opportunity to contribute to excellent patient care within a community hospital environment while working a consistent weekday schedule.
