JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Surgery

Shift Timings: 06:45-15:15 Hours Monday to Friday (5 Days/8 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years experience in OR, Strong in Ortho (total joints and spine); may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Ortho Surgical Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program
• Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Wisconsin state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
