Desktop Support Technician

Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide high-touch, white glove technical support to end users in a fast-paced corporate environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting conference room technology, managing service requests through ServiceNow, and delivering exceptional customer service to executives and employees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver white glove desktop support for end users, including VIP and executive-level personnel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows 10 operating system issues, software problems, and hardware failures.
• Provide hands-on break/fix support for Dell, Lenovo, and HP laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Support and maintain conference room technology including audio/video equipment and meeting room systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and related productivity tools.
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, with a focus on HP printer support and maintenance.
• Utilize ServiceNow to document, track, and manage incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
• Provide remote support using Bomgar (BeyondTrust) and other remote access tools.
• Perform workstation deployments, hardware upgrades, imaging, and equipment replacements.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams while ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical procedures, asset inventory, and support activities.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Desktop Support, IT Support, or Help Desk experience.
• Experience providing white glove or executive-level technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting Dell, Lenovo, and HP hardware.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing systems.
• Experience with HP printers and peripheral device troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of remote support tools such as Bomgar (BeyondTrust).
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting conference room and audiovisual technologies.
• Exposure to endpoint deployment, device imaging, and asset management.
• Microsoft certifications or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Rocky Mount, NC.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
