We’re hiring a Tapered Roller Bearing Cup & Cone Quality Technician to ensure our grinding operations deliver flawless components.

• Do you enjoy working hands‑on with gauges and inspection tools to verify tight tolerances?
• Are you energized by partnering with operators and setup teams to get first‑piece approvals right the first time?
• Do you take pride in documenting results, flagging issues quickly, and helping keep production moving?

• Validate machined/fabricated parts against prints/specs; identify and report defects
• Execute dimensional checks per the departmental quality plan using gauges and other metrology devices
• Assist with changeovers and first‑article inspections across grinding lines/cells
• Capture inspection/test data per quality procedures; log production run details in company systems
• Segregate suspect material and alert supervisors and relevant personnel about product concerns
• Follow Amsted Rail’s plant‑wide safety, ergonomics, and environmental requirements; safely use hoists/cranes when positioning machine components
• Pitch in where needed—equipment operation, packing, and material handling

Essential duties must be performed satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug & background screening
• Ability to lift/push/pull 10–50 lbs and remain on your feet navigating the department throughout the shift
• Willingness to wear employer‑provided PPE
• Mechanical aptitude; prior industrial experience preferred

• Ownership: Annual employee stock awards totaling 10% of compensation
