Join a compassionate team that meets people at their point of need — offering dignity, hope, and a path forward.**About the Role**The Early Intervention Intake Specialist supports the mission of City Rescue Mission by providing help, hope, and healing to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This position serves as a compassionate first impression of the organization while helping clients identify pathways toward stability, housing, and self-sufficiency.**What You’ll Do*** Welcome and assess individuals seeking services.* Conduct intake interviews and determine eligibility for shelter, housing, and support programs.* Help clients identify safe alternatives to homelessness through diversion and problem-solving conversations.* Accurately complete client intakes and maintain documentation.* Enter and update information in HMIS and other databases.* Respond calmly and professionally to crisis situations.* Coordinate services with shelter, housing, recovery, and case management teams.* Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.* Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.**What We’re Looking For*** Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.* Ability to remain calm under pressure.* Compassionate, professional, and accountable approach to client care.* Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.**Benefits*** Health, dental, and vision insurance* Paid Time-Off* 401(k) with employer match* Gym membership and opportunities for advancement## Qualifications**Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED.* At least 2 years experience in customer service, social services, case management, intake, crisis intervention, or a related field.* Strong computer skills, including data entry and database management.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.* Strong organizational and time management skills.* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.**Work Environment & Schedule*** Full-time position; schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.* Work performed in a residential shelter environment with frequent client interaction and team collaboration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
