Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Create individualized treatment and therapy plans suited to diverse patient needs
- Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
- Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
- Maintain detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
- Report progress and current status to appropriate parties (family members, teachers, or medical professionals)
Experience Required
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with pediatric and adult populations, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, required
Skills & Certifications
- Speech, language, and swallowing disorder diagnosis and treatment
- Individualized treatment planning
- Screening and assessment
- Patient/family education
- Clinical documentation and progress reporting
Eligibilities & qualifications
- Current State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist License required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
