Facility Operations Specialist.

Duties Analyze maintenance history for facilities and equipment and establish maintenance schedules. Develop and update maintenance equipment profiles. Record system maintenance and repair history. Prepare or assist in preparing annual and/or periodic program reports. Attend project maintenance meetings and relay pertinent information. Provide access and permissions for employees utilizing the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance System (FEM). Troubleshoot system problems and issues. Organize, compile all pertinent information, assure accuracy, and enter data updates for equipment into automated maintenance systems. Serve as the Facilities Equipment Maintenance Systems (FEM) subject matter expert (SME) for the project. Ensure quality of data entered into FEM by field staff and technicians. Requirements Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation. Must possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator's license prior to appointment. Qualifications Education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience GS-9: One year of specialized experience including using computer maintenance management systems to create preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and customizable reports; assisting in scheduling emergency, non-routine, corrective, or unanticipated work orders; closing work orders, ensuring proper coding of time, equipment, and supplies in a computer maintenance management system. Education: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education with major in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. Combination of Education and Experience: compute percentage as described. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a GS position within last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at next lower grade.
