Job Title: Obstetrics RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE Must-Have: Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate Description: Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen in the OB unit. Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills. Commits to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit specific clinical skills. Performs the functions of a RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice. Implements and evaluates age appropriate care for all patients in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients. Manages supplies and equipment effectively. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other departments. Adheres to policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN required. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation. Possesses effective communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrates computer skills.
