Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The basic function of this position is to select product from pick slot locations for shipment to customers safely operating a battery powered pallet jack.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Selector reports to the night warehouse Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive orders and accurately select items for shipment
Enter all assignments into WIN computer system
Place selected items on pallet with heaviest items on bottom when possible to avoid damage
Drop completed pallets at correct location for Loader
Shrink wrap pallets when complete for shipment stability and damage control
Safely operate a battery powered pallet jack
Safely lift up to 80 pounds
Must be able to understand and speak English for voice selection system
Must be able to read English for product descriptions/labels
Able to follow instructions and adhere to preferred work methods and safety rules
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Prefer electric pallet jack experience
Stand Up Forklift Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Must be able to pass pallet jack certification
