Litigation Paralegal

Love being in the middle of the action when a case heads toward trial? As a Litigation Paralegal on this team, you'll help prepare hearings, closings, and trials, often on high-profile and exciting matters.

Partnering with a highly regarded regional litigation firm practicing across Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, Protem Legal is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Louisville or Covington (Northern Kentucky) office.

About the Role

You'll partner with a supervising attorney and make the whole team faster and more effective. You'll handle case preparation, discovery, filings, and file management so attorneys can focus on strategy and advocacy.

What You'll Do

• Prepare client work for closings, hearings, and trials
• Investigate facts, support discovery, and conduct research
• E-file and retrieve documents in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky state and federal courts
• Handle filings in bankruptcy courts
• Keep deadlines on track and prioritize across multiple matters
• Organize, index, and manage client files in iManage/WorkSite
• Support trial presentations
• Track and bill your time

What We're Looking For

• Paralegal certificate or degree, or equivalent legal support experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong research, analysis, and proofreading skills
• A sense of ownership over deadlines and multiple matters
• Professional communication and a team-first mindset
• Discretion with firm and client confidential information

Helpful Experience

• A bachelor's degree
• PDF tools for Bates stamping, redaction, and editing (e.g., Nuance PDF Converter)
• iManage/WorkSite document management

Work Environment
