Tool Room Clerk

The Tool Room Clerk will report directly to the branch Service Manager and will be responsible for supporting all Service Technicians through detailed handling of a variety of duties including handling incoming calls, creating dray tickets, shipping tools to other branches, maintaining clean and orderly work area, and other duties not specified.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintains accurate tool inventory
• Tracks all tooling loaned out to Technicians
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs returned tooling
• Orders and maintains shop supplies and places tool orders as required
• Maintains work area in accordance with Contamination Control guidelines
• Performs basic building maintenance operations
• Completes accurate dray tickets
• Other duties assigned by Service Management

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience: Candidates for this position must possess strong mechanical aptitude. No formal work experience is required for this position; however individuals with prior mechanical experience will be given stronger consideration.
• Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required for this position.
• Candidates must have the ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies.
