Location Palmdale, CA Responsibilities Work corrective actions for discrepancies in a manufacturing environment across multiple portions of the build. Conduct critical reviews of processes to identify gaps and close them with the intent of reducing variation and discrepancies in the build. Collaborate with quality engineering and production operations to triage repeat failure modes in a production environment. Utilize lean six sigma toolsets to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans. Collaborate with team members to explore out‑of‑the‑box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating cross‑functionally with quality assurance, production operations, design engineering, industrial engineering, project engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or process engineering. Experience supporting air‑vehicle assembly and part assembly, including composites fabrication, metallics fabrication, structural assembly, systems installation, or test operations. Experience in integrated corrective action, cause‑map development, and RCCA. Active secret security clearance with an investigation in the last 5 years or enrollment in CE. Ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start. Desired Skills STEM degree with 5+ years of experience. Black belt certification. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. Working knowledge of air‑vehicle final assembly and flight line operations. Experience with audit teams or performing process audits. Experience facilitating kaizen events and tiger team efforts. Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plans. Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, model‑based engineering, process specifications, and manufacturing planning. Self‑starter with ability to operate with limited direction. Experience with 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, NX), PLM programs (3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.), and MES programs (iBASEt, SAP, etc.). Security Clearance Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years. This position requires a government security clearance; applicants must be U.S. citizens. Major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $93,800 – $162,610 per year.
