Job Description Fleet Coordinator - Clifton, NJ Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM $1,200 sign on bonus for external applicants only Pay range: $21.35+ per hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Position Overview Position’s main focus is the coordination of the Regional Fleet Safety Program by providing ongoing education and training to couriers and other employees who use company commercial vehicles. The role also performs record‑keeping and analysis related to the program. Responsibilities Coordinate the Regional Fleet Safety Program by delivering ongoing education and training to couriers and other employees who use company commercial vehicles. Coordinate the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) process for the monitor PULL process. Maintain accurate records and conduct analysis related to fleet safety. Work closely with appropriate personnel to ensure fleet safety objectives are achieved and that fleet policies and procedures are complied with. Train personnel on the driver safety manual. Assist and direct personnel involved with vehicle accident repair issues, working closely with PHH representatives to ensure proper repair of all company vehicles. Monitor mileage on all company vehicles. Create and maintain cost‑analysis reports, including charts, graphs, solutions, and causes related to accidents. Carry out assigned responsibilities with occasional supervision and seek consultation from a manager when non‑routine situations arise. Maintain constant contact with individuals at multiple organizational levels and with vendors and agencies outside the company. Provide judgment in determining the necessity of auto repairs for local and remote supervisors. Qualifications Preferred Work Experience Prior experience with fleet management. Physical and Mental Requirements Normal mental and visual demands are expected. Knowledge Investigate accidents tactfully and confirm body repair recommendations from various vendors. Possess sound knowledge of safety protocols and driver training procedures. Adept at transferring knowledge to employees through regularly scheduled programs. Skills Independent judgment. Able to act quickly and decisively during auto breakdowns and emergency situations. Analyze and summarize data related to fleet activities and provide recommendations to maximize operational efficiencies and economics. Coordinate and provide safety training to employees. Maintain confidential records, including motor vehicle records, social security numbers, and accident investigations.
