Start building your legacy by joining the Fisher Investments Private Client Group (PCG) Tax consultation team as a Senior Client Tax Accountant!The Opportunity:As a Senior Client Tax Accountant, you will work to oversee the execution and delivery of tax related work to Fisher Investments US PCG Clients. Working in close collaboration with the Financial Planning Services group, you will provide and supervise tax planning consultation, tax prep, tax filing, and tax compliance to Private Clients. The Senior Client Tax Accountant plays an important role in delivering comprehensive white glove service to the Client, including in-person and virtual consultations, carefully coordinated with Investment Counselors and other client-facing employees and teams. The Day-to-Day:Consult with High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients on end-to-end tax needsLead the preparation of tax returns, schedules, payments, reports and other deliverables or collateral as neededReview federal, state, and local individual income tax returns and related filings, including Forms 1040, and provide written and verbal feedback to staffFind tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filingsWork directly with HNW clients and Investment Counselors to gather any information or documents needed to prepare tax returnsMeet with HNW clients to complete intake, advise on tax strategies and holistic tax planning, and provide tax advice within approved frameworksIdentify and create tax strategies to minimize taxationEnsure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulationsCoordinate outsourced tax preparation workSchedule and manage workload of Client Tax AccountantsReview work prepared by Client Tax Accountants and provide timely, constructive review feedback.Train tax employees on how to use all current relevant software and technologyYour Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required7+ years of direct tax experience preferredCertified Public Accountant designation or equivalent requiredProficient in Microsoft Office softwareProficient in tax preparation software, CCH Axcess preferredWhy Fisher Investments:We work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
