Job Summary:
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse in the region, providing comprehensive patient care on a general surgical floor. This position involves caring for adult patients with conditions such as post-surgical recovery, abdominal pain, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). The RN will work day shifts and support floating within the unit as needed.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse
• Location: Region unspecified
• Shift: Days, 6:30 AM 7:00 PM (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
• Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS). Education includes active RN licenses verified via NURSYS report, with an active license in NY or other states. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing with documentation of travel experience and proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records. Drivers licenses with matching address and the ability to include RTO at time of submission.
• Additional Information: Experience in using specialty equipment like IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes is preferred. Experience in post-surgical care for adult patients with common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity is required. Floating to other units may be required. Scrub color: Navy Blue.
