Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world’s leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing & Supply Chain IT Specialist to join our dynamic team in Falconer, New York. The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between the IT department and the manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support production, logistics, and inventory management. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and deep understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain IT solutions that optimize manufacturing, production, and supply chain operationsSupport and administer ERP, MES, WMS, and other operational software systemsCollaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutionsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT or internal teams to resolve technical challengesEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and security across production and supply chain systemsAssist in automation projects, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiencyGenerate reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making in inventory, logistics, and production planningTrain and support end-users on software tools and IT processes related to manufacturing and supply chain operationsManage, correct, and enhance operational understanding and utilization of the ERP systemGuide the development and improvement of operational business intelligence (BI)Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesJob Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldMinimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support for manufacturing or supply chain environmentsProficiency with ERP systems (Infor XA, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and manufacturing technologies (MES, WMS)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, and supply chain workflowsExperience with SQL, data analysis, process automation, and reporting toolsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsDetail oriented, advanced analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast pace environment where a premium is placed on speed and accuracyAbility to work independent of supervision and quickly adapt to changing prioritiesStrong oral & written communication skillsCompetent with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.)Fluency in the English language. Must be able to obtain in minimal time the necessary credentials to comply with all federal export control requirements (US citizen or a US permanent resident.)Preferred:Experience with Aerospace business requirementsMaster’s degree in a relevant field5+ years’ experience with XA MAPICS ERP system, preferably end to end5+ years’ experience with Data models and Query work (SQL, Cognos, Access, Qlikview…) and associated Data extraction techniques (ODBC, etc)2+ years’ experience in an analytical roleCertifications such as APICS CPIM, or Six SigmaKnowledge of cloud platforms and Industry 4.0 technologieExperience with project management in manufacturing IT implementationsSKF Aerospace is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer committed to bringing greater diversity to its workforce.
