Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. • Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including giving or receiving comprehensive change of shift and intermittent report, obtaining the nursing history, conducting a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
• Assess patient's learning needs, readiness for discharge and ability of the patient/family/SO to manage illness after discharge.
• Completes both computer and hand written documentation using correct format in an accurate, precise, timely, legible and complete manner .
• Provide direct patient care, as required. Assist physician with procedures, as necessary.
• Perform Point of Care Testing where applicable.
• Report changes in patient's condition to physician.

Job Requirements

Required

1 year of operating room/surgical and 1 year CV experience including but not limited to: CABG surgery, OFF pump and On pump
Coronary Bypass grafts, Aortic Dissections, Valve Replacements, TVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) , Redo Cardiac Surgeries.

2 years of operating/surgical experience. If operational conditions permit, training a candidate without the required experience may be considered. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

CA RN, BLS and ACLS required
