Inpatient Pharmacy Technician I

Pharmacy TechnicianPerforms pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution that ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Prepares, compounds, packages, labels, and dispenses medication, and nutritional products (non-sterile). Adheres to all standards, procedures, cleaning protocols, and infection control policies to maintain a safe medication area. Assists with medicine and supply inventory management and control, including maintaining adequate stock levels, checking accuracy of pricing, and completing required regulatory documentation. Exercises sound judgment and has developed clinical skills to provide pharmaceutical support to the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.
