Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:6–1:7, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout each shift
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Attend required staff meetings as scheduled by the facility
• Complete all assigned facility onboarding modules prior to start date
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) if required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring
• Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
