A day in this role
When production ramps up, you’re the steady hand that brings conveyors, robotics, cameras, and hydraulics to life. You arrive ready to make safe, cost‑effective repairs, keep preventive maintenance humming, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, 5S, Ergonomic, and Kaizen teams to drive continuous improvement. From root cause analysis to quick turn work orders, you’re focused on quality, uptime, and safety.
What you'll tackle- Keep all machinery in safe, reliable operating condition and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Diagnose issues across AC/DC circuits, PLC ladder logic, power transmission, pneumatics, electrical, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.
- Complete timely, cost‑effective repairs and close assigned corrective and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Engage in root cause analysis and CIP activities; contribute to 5S, Ergonomic, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Cross‑train maintenance peers and other team members; share knowledge to strengthen the team.
- Own the quality of your work and documentation; use a computer to enter data and manage work orders.
- Support maintenance of ISMS and the preventive/“preventative” maintenance program.
- Stay flexible to work overtime and any shift as required.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school a plus.
- Journeyman or Mechatronics certificate and 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of common maintenance tools and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read schematics and drawings; interpret precision instruments (calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with Keyence and Cognex cameras.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems and Just‑In‑Sequence (JIS) processes.
- Understanding of AC loop in automotive systems.
- Knowledge of PLC ladder logic and contact usage.
- Comfortable performing PM and, when needed, working without direct support.
- Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.
