RB Hinkle Construction is currently seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic in Sterling, VA to keep our fleet and heavy equipment running strong. If you can diagnose issues, make repairs, and help lead shop operations - this role is for you.

Pay based on experience + overtime opportunities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Help prioritize and coordinate daily shop repairs
• Inspect aerial equipment (booms, outriggers, safety components)
• Order and track parts
• Maintain service records and documentation
• Communicate equipment status with supervisors and field crews
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair
• Experience with bucket trucks or digger derricks preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Valid driver’s license required
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
