Familiar with production processes. Relies on skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish all assigned tasks. Reviews all activities looking to eliminate waste and continuously improve processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all equipment in a steel mill environment.Experience and Capable of working with heavy industry equipment and overhead cranes.Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and perform work from schematics, technical specifications, drawings, and sketches. Experience with PLC systems and variable frequency drives (VFD) a plus.Shift work, weekends, callouts and overtime a must.Perform all other duties as directed by supervisor or management representative within safety guidelines.Performs work in accordance with the defined Quality system and share responsibility for Quality.The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Completion of maintenance mechanical course, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
