PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
- Licensed in West Virginia by the Occupational Therapy Board
- Pediatric experience preferred.

- Perform all evaluations and screenings
- Complete paperwork in timely manner
- Comply with WVDE Policy 2419 guidelines
- Provide therapy to students needing speech services
- Attend meetings and write IEP's for students
- Work collaboratively with special education department and providers
- Provide intervention strategies to students
- Maintains positive role model for students.
- Supports mission of school district.
- Manages student behavior in accordance with WV Board of Education Policy 4373 (Expected Behavior in Safe and Supportive Schools) and student handbook.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Establishes and maintains open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers to support student learning.
- Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
- Uses effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Participates in staff development activities to improve Standards of Practice for self and colleagues.
- Keeps informed and complies with state, district and school regulations and policies.
- Compiles, maintains, and files all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents required.
- Adheres to Employee Code of Conduct as outlined in Braxton County School's Board of Education/West Virginia Board of Eeducation Policy
- Communicates effectively within the educational community, and with parents on a regular basis.
- Meets professional responsibilities.
