Warehouse Specialist

Job TitleUnload trucks using a scanner or pick list generated by Supervisor/ManagerPerforms all computer functions necessary to complete jobUnpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with department leader to rectify damages and shortages – specifically relating to glassReports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department leaderResponsible for keeping production lines stocked with glass according to scheduleMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsThis position has no supervisory responsibilitiesPhysical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.This is a full-time position, and hours of work/day are determined by production schedules and your reporting manager. Travel requirements are none.Preferred education and experience includes high school education or equivalent, 1 year of factory-related experience in shipping, licensed forklift truck operator, manufacturing/industry experience, and glass warehouse experience.
