Construction Inspector Team Lead

Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Construction Team Leader to assist with our projects in Shaker Heights, OH! Key Responsibilities Lead implementation of ODOT and local agency construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and contract requirements. Oversee day‑to‑day project operations, including documentation, quality assurance, safety practices, and construction progress tracking. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. Supervise, mentor, and engage a team of 8–10 construction inspectors and construction engineers. Provide technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support. Coordinate staff assignments to align with project needs, utilization expectations, and individual strengths. Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and reporting. Review daily reports, pay estimates, RFIs, change orders, and contract documentation. Ensure consistent application of ODOT Construction & Material Specifications and procedural manuals. Maintain team utilization goals, staffing balance, and workload planning. Support forecasting, resource allocation, and operational reporting for the Construction Services group. Build and maintain strong relationships with ODOT, municipalities, counties, and other regional partners. Support proposal efforts, scope development, fee estimates, and interview preparation. Identify opportunities to expand MSG’s presence in Northeast Ohio through new and repeat business. Skills, Knowledge And Expertise This leader will guide a team of 8–10 construction inspectors and construction engineers, support successful delivery of ODOT and local agency infrastructure projects, and contribute to the growth and reputation of MSG’s Construction Services group. This role combines technical project oversight, team leadership, project administration, and business development—ideal for someone who excels in both field and client-facing environments.
