The Two-Year-Old Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and academically. The teacher implements developmentally appropriate activities that align with Texas Rising Star (TRS) standards while fostering independence, positive behavior, and a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

• Provide loving, responsive care while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support cognitive, language, social-emotional, physical, and creative development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom that meets TRS quality standards.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers through respectful communication.
• Use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and emotional development.
• Conduct daily observations and document children's progress according to center and TRS requirements.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain all required training.
• Work collaboratively with the leadership team to provide high-quality early childhood education.
• Support the center's mission, values, and faith-based environment (if applicable).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred).
• Experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting preferred. but if not we will still consider.
• Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star quality practices.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, kneel, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
