Position Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, setup, and pickup of rental inventory at client locations. This role serves as a frontline representative of All Occasions Group, ensuring clients receive professional, courteous service from delivery through return. The Delivery Driver maintains accurate records of deliveries and returns, upholds vehicle safety standards, and communicates proactively with the Transportation Manager to ensure routes are completed efficiently and any issues are reported promptly.
Primary Responsibilities
Load and unload delivery trucks.
Deliver items to clients and set up as needed.
Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
Accurately account for the quantity and condition of items returned by clients to the warehouse.
Know the specifics and applications of rental inventory to answer client questions and provide guidance.
Represent the company professionally while driving; observe all traffic laws, drive safely and courteously, and complete a daily vehicle safety inspection.
Maintain communication with the Transportation Manager while efficiently completing daily routes.
Immediately report any issues, accidents, or near misses involving a customer, a customer's property, an AO employee, AO equipment, or other property while on a route.
Requirements:Working Conditions
This position requires occasional outdoor setup, so exposure to the general range of local weather is routine, as is working in non-climate-controlled spaces. There may be exposure to chemicals including gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents. Because propane is a potential hazard, a functioning sense of smell is required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., maintain a professional appearance, and possess excellent customer relations skills. Must be able to stoop, crouch, bend, lift, lower, reach, twist, pull, push, cart, and carry items.
Education, Skills & Requirements
Must maintain a valid driver's license, DOT certification, and insurance eligibility.
Ability to speak English clearly and write legibly; ability to speak additional languages is a plus.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must have full range of motion and dexterity.
Ability to understand and complete instructions given in written, oral, or demonstrated form.
Maintains a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience.
