This role will design and execute manual and automated tests, identify defects early, and partner closely with developers and product owners to uphold high-quality standards across the software development lifecycle. This role works independently on day-to-day testing efforts while partnering with the Team Lead on overall QA direction and standards. If you are applying but do not currently reside in this market, please note that relocation will not be covered by Harvest Group.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate new and existing software applications against business and technical requirements.Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand feature requirements and translate them into effective test plans and acceptance criteria.Identify, document, and track defects clearly, working with the development team to verify fixes and prevent regressions.Build and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort over time.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development process.Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and application interfaces.Support release readiness by validating builds, tracking test results, and communicating quality risks to the team.Help evolve QA processes, standards, and tooling in partnership with the Team Lead, bringing ideas for improving testing practices across the team.Requirements3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, with the ability to work independently on day-to-day testing tasks.Proven experience writing and executing manual test cases, reporting defects clearly, and driving issues through to resolution.Solid understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, and integration testing.Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) sufficient to test and troubleshoot web applications.Ability to read and understand application code well enough to write meaningful test scenarios.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear written communication.Experience working within Agile methodologies and cross-functional development teams, including partnering directly with developers and product owners on quality decisions.Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).PreferredFamiliarity with API testing tools such as Postman.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing fits into the deployment process.Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).Basic understanding of cloud-based environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.Our heart at Harvest is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters diversity, inclusivity, authenticity, mutual respect, professionalism, and growth.
