Sr Software Engineer

Senior Software EngineerDover Fueling Solutions, a global leader in fuel dispensing, payment processing and point of sale technology, is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in software development in Windows environments. The Senior Software Engineer will work on sustaining efforts, and new feature development of DFS payment applications. The successful candidate will be able to create, analyze and implement product backlog items to be included in development sprints. This job reports to the Software Development Manager, Solutions Engineering.Position Responsibilities:Understand, design, and develop new functions in payment products and integrations with 3rd party payment productsStrong willingness to learn and pick up new technology / project with minimal guidance or documentsParticipate in Scrum, Scrum plan, review and retrospective, and Scrum product backlog grooming sessionsComplete individual assignments defined in each Scrum sprint with minimal supervisionAssist to triage customer's reported field issues closely with Dover New Product Support and Dover Help Desk teamsApply good judgment in meeting tight schedules while maintaining superior qualityPerform design reviews and code reviewsCollaborate with payment team members to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the projectQualification Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of software development experience.3+ years of software development experience within Windows environmentsFamiliar with front end technologies such as Angular / HTML5 / ReactExperience working with one virtualization technology (Docker / Kubernetes / VMWare)C# and.NET Core coding experienceStrong OOPS, SOLID design principles and multi-threading programming skillsExperience in REST and RESTful web APITeam player and self-starter with minimal supervision both onsite and remote work set upAbility to effectively communicate with others, both verbally and in writingPreferred Qualifications:Payment software/Point of Sale/EPS development experience is a plusExperience/understanding of EMV, P2PE, PCI PA-DSS or payment systems in generalReal-time embedded development experience, preferably in Windows CE 6.0/ IoT environment/ Windows 10TCP/IP socket, serial communication, USB, video/audio development experienceExperience working with.NET Compact Framework 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008 IDE with C#, VB codingComfortable working with hardware simulatorsTools for software development like JIRA, Bitbucket, Visual Studio Team Explorer, Source Tree is a plusSignalR and RabbitMQ experience is a plusEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
