Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Euclid, Ohio Pay Rate: Starting at $30 - Depending on Experience Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM‑4:30 PM (4x10s) Overtime: as needed Responsibilities Repair, modify and install equipment to maintain and operate the facility. Understand basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams; be familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 24/115 VAC control circuitry. Work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs. Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment. Maintain records and reports accurately as required. Use CMMS and participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Experience Requirements Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Prior experience in manufacturing and plant maintenance. Previous work as a maintenance mechanic or as a qualified journeyman in industrial manufacturing or similar work setting. Familiarity with industrial production and utility equipment operation is preferred. Qualifications Ability to perform in a multi-craft environment. At least five years of applicable industrial mechanical experience with equipment such as positive displacement pumps, mag‑drive pumps, air compressors, dryers, chillers, HVAC, mixers, filling line equipment, wrappers, tanks, motors, diaphragm pumps, and building maintenance. Secondary skills desired include PLC programming and welding. Good attendance and safety records. Strong teamwork ability. Read and follow work order instructions; read and understand CAD drawings and equipment technical manuals. Computer proficiency; experience with personal computers and common business software. Completion of forklift driver training; forklift operation certificate or ability to operate one. Ability to work in environments requiring respiratory protective equipment. Work in elevated areas or confined spaces. Flexible with overtime and occasional extended or weekend schedules. Accurately maintain records and reports across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, HVAC). Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem‑solving, and prioritizing skills. Operate a variety of power equipment and material handling devices typical in an industrial maintenance shop. Use technical manuals, blueprints and sketches to accomplish assigned tasks. Hold a valid Ohio driver’s license; must possess forklift operation certificate or ability to obtain one. Function independently with minimal supervision; self‑motivated.
