Pay Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

Position Overview:

Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy department at our New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be obtained within five years of hire.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care is essential.
  • Experience in Endoscopy is required, with at least 2-3 years in this specialty.

Preferred:

  • National certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, and/or CGRN are preferred.
  • Experience in Critical Care.
  • Experience in Pre/Post Anesthesia care.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • An active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey is mandatory.
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Day shift from 7 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts, with rotations for weekends and holidays, as well as intermittent overnight on-call duties.
  • On-call responsibilities may include potential weekend rotations and overnight coverage during holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while upholding ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and maintaining awareness of personal knowledge and experience, while fostering the growth of self and the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
  • Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
  • Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
  • Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
  • Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement.
  • Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and tailoring the care plan to meet specific patient needs.
