SummaryofPrimary Function/General Purpose of Position The 340B Auditor is responsible for the auditing and monitoringof the340B Drug Discount Programforcompliancewithfederalrequirements/guidelines. This position will service locations as assigned by the 340B Program Manager and be responsible for completing and documenting audits as outlined in the 340B policies and procedures. Functions will includeexecution and documentation ofdaily, weekly, monthly and quarterly auditstoverify adherence with the 340B Programregulations and/orguidelines.340BAuditor will collaborate with other 340B staff to preform specialized audits/projectsas required. In conjunction with performing internal audits, auditor will be responsible for assisting with external audits as assigned by 340BProgram Manager. Additionally, the340B Auditor will be responsible for preparing and uploading required data to 340B software systems while ensuring that all data is imported to 340B software systems as expected. Essential Job Functions Monitors340Bcomplianceforall aspects of the 340B Program and implements all applicable aspects of HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance, as well as organizational policies and procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day compliance review of clinic-administered medications in eligible locations, mixed-use/340B only areas managed by split-billing software,areas managed by manual methods,outpatient prescriptions fulfilled by an owned pharmacy, and/oroutpatient prescriptions fulfilled by a contract 340B pharmacy. Conducts daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audits of all 340B-eligible locations to verify adherence with the 340B Program guidelines and policies. Documents results as required per policy and procedure.Audits assess compliancewith HRSA’s polices including but not limited to 340B eligibility, diversion, andGPO prohibition. Monitors utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure that software or tools are working properly and accurately, performing audits Evaluates patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients in hospital-based mixed-use as well as 340B only areas and clinics by reviewing patient medical records, insurance plans, and hospital status. Assists with340B external audits as assigned Uploads data and monitors data upload process for software systems and tools daily. Downloads raw data and prepares datafor upload into software systems as needed. Assists with creating, refining, andexecuting340Baudits as assigned Reports all findings and matters through appropriate channels as outlined in policy and procedurewhich include the 340BProgram Manager and340B Analyst for the respective covered entity. Assists 340BProgramManager and 340BAnalyst with special projects as assigned Employment Qualifications : Education Qualification Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma / GED Preferred Education: 2 Year Degreein Business, Information Technology/Analytics, Pharmacy, or related field Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Preferred: 340B University(Live / On Demand);National Pharmacy Technician License Minimum Qualifications Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience with pharmacy 340B requiredor;1-2 years – progressive hospital or healthcare system pharmacy or healthcare auditing or healthcare business experience preferred. Other Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRequired: Healthcare system knowledge base/skills Proficiencyin Microsoft Officesoftware, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to quickly learn technical systems such as EMR systems, retail pharmacy systems,and/or340B software systems Ability to work in a complex team environment and to collaborate with peers to complete required work Strong interest in pharmacypractice advancement Excellent verbal and written communication skills;communication style that is open and fosterstrust, credibility and understanding.
