We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to lead the Life Engagement Program at our licensed RCFE community in the beautiful city of Visalia, California. In this leadership role, you'll plan and execute meaningful programs and events that enrich the lives of our residents—while fostering engagement, wellness, and joy each day.If you're creative, organized, and passionate about serving older adults, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.Key Responsibilities:Program & Event LeadershipDesign and lead engaging resident programs that support social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical wellnessPlan and coordinate on-site and off-site events, excursions, and overnight tripsBook and manage entertainment and vendors; negotiate contracts and logisticsOversee transportation services and scheduling, including driving the community vehicle when neededEnsure proper event set-up, execution, and clean-upTeam & Volunteer ManagementSupervise and support the Life Engagement and transportation teamRecruit, train, and schedule community volunteersProvide staff training related to resident engagement and communicationResident Engagement & SupportBuild strong relationships with residents and familiesMaintain accurate resident social profiles and historiesServe as a liaison to families and other departments regarding residents' psycho-social needsAdministrative & Compliance DutiesManage departmental and event budgetsEnsure compliance with California RCFE regulations, OSHA, and internal company policiesMaintain inventory of supplies and ensure safe operation of transportation vehiclesAssist with marketing, internal communications, and community newsletter/calendarQualifications:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field (Recreational Therapy, Fine Arts, Gerontology, etc.) preferred2+ years of experience in senior living, activity planning, or similar fieldPrior supervisory experience preferredStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsCNA experience or previous work with elderly populations a plusValid CA Driver's License and clean driving record requiredCDL or willingness to obtain within set timeframe requiredCurrent CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications or willingness to obtain within set timeframe requiredAbility to use Microsoft Word and Excel proficientlyFlexible, creative, and dependable with a genuine passion for enhancing resident lifeSubject to background check, TB/physical, and drug screeningWhy Join Us?A supportive, mission-driven workplaceOpportunity to truly impact the lives of seniors every dayCompetitive salary and benefits.
