Forklift Lead – Warehouse

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift Lead to support daily warehouse operations and help lead the forklift team. The Forklift Lead will ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently, assist with coordinating workflow, and provide direction to forklift operators while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
• Lead and provide direction to forklift operators during daily warehouse operations.
• Coordinate the movement and placement of materials throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with assigning daily tasks and prioritizing workflow based on operational needs.
• Ensure products and materials are properly labeled, staged, and stored.
• Perform inventory checks and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure all employees follow company safety policies and proper forklift procedures.
• Train and assist new forklift operators as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and other departments regarding inventory, production, shipping, and receiving needs.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
• Monitor workflow and help resolve operational issues to keep production and shipping activities moving efficiently.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse and forklift experience required.
• Prior lead or team-lead experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and provide direction when needed.
